Seniors Learning from
the Experience of Other Seniors
Each month, this newsletter shares real stories and practical ideas from seniors who’ve solved everyday challenges—so you don’t have to start from scratch.
It accelerates knowledge acquisition, minimizes costly personal risks, and provides a broader perspective than firsthand experience alone.
Here are three concrete examples of American seniors who created their own boredom‑busting activities, plus what makes each one work so well.
In each of these cases, older Americans themselves designed services or programs that turn empty time into structured, engaging experiences for their peers.

"I really LOVED your talk at the Scituate Senior Center about AI. I wondered how I would
feel after it as questions and doubts weighed heavily. But the upsides now outweigh any downside. I have played with AI a bit but now will check into it much more often because of your talk.
-Anne Tucker, Scituate, Massachusetts
"You were sensational Henry."
